We often react quickly to events, situations and other people’s words and behaviour without thought and awareness of the consequences of our reactive words and behaviour – sometimes with explosive, disastrous and harmful results.

Become more mindful or aware when events, situations and other people’s words and behaviour triggers anger, frustration, fear, etc. and change your “old” reaction to a more appropriate response. One way is to apply the CTRL-ALT-DEL technique

 

CTL – Take control, stop and take a deep breath (maybe two or three) and take control

ALT – Choose an alternate response that is more appropriate

DEL – Delete the old, negative reaction

 

It takes practice but the results will be amazing!
